My Kind of Sunday

Oh Sunday! How you build me up or break me down, yet I stay so very loyal!

Today was favourite things filled. Unlike Thursday thru Yesterday. Which was nice enough to throw me for the biggest loop yet.

But why dwell on the negative.
Herman Hesse.
Sparkling lemonade.
Book store conversations.
Sun-shiney lawn.
Many, many coffee dates.
Bob Dylan.

Lets hope for a week just a bit as good as this afternoon.

Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year

"Its odd how I already dont feel like I am not enough of anything, and yet the universe keeps having to remind me."

One of them days, thats for sure.

Darkness on the Edge of Town

Let us give into the memories
if only for a night
and wallow in our happiness
from when darkness turned to light.

Let us fight away our sorrows
tuck them deep into our chests
so that when we finally falter
our ashes may peacefully lay to rest.

For I want my body, not left behind,
but cooled to filthy dust,
vague and opposite of what she wished.
This way I will not rust.

Let us resist the breaths of others
in fear of letting them in.
There is nothing left, no heart remains,
no battle set to win.

Let us give our souls to eternity,
the only thing that cares.
He who is willing to carry our burden,
the one we can no longer bear.

For I want no trace of me that I can follow.
I wish to be lost, alone,
and lonesome in a tender world
that all are cursed to roam.

A Happy Kind Of Happy

Just listening to this song makes me the happiest girl in the world, even when my soul tells me not to.

"I tell tales as tall as cliffs
you've got a lisp
kid, those things are hard to miss
like my cripples cough
all your weekends lost by the lake
where you said I needed be afraid
of all those devils on the wall
that make a fella small
and when he's feelin' brave
they take his wine away
there were posters on the wall
I swear my mother saw
I'd been up all night, up all night"

Dear March

You've been looking pretty impressive, though I have been much, much more busy since you've started. Because of this I have had to make a list of what I would like do accomplish this month. Some I have started, some I have not, which I good because the month is still young, and I have not began any of my new year's resolutions.
1.Drink more tea with my mum.
2.Begin a certain
best friend's birthday present

This isn't her, but I am pretty darn sure it was in a past life.
3.Read more
and more and more and more and not for school assignments.
4.Create a Lollipop Tongue.

So. One of my dearest friends, Katie, and myself have a plan. For a lollipop tongue.
This has yet to be accomplished by anyone, as far as I am concerned.
Once completed, future updates are promised.
5.Make my rooms just a little bit brighter.
Like this chick's life.
6.Bake more.

This I have been very diligent at accomplishing and in merely three days have made yummy lemon bars and perfectly, delicious Nutella cookies (as pictured above, featuring my mum's vintage cookie jar that I l-o-v-e, love).
7.City trips must become mandatory.
Especially to schools that are perfect for you.

Lovely Weekend!

(Also, 8. Hanging out more with my Bud.
Please excuse his picture, he was taken quite by suprise)

And I Do Believe

What happened to our rarities? To the moments which feed us our humanity, our sanity, our empathy? Where did they go? Have our smallities overcome our lives to such a degree that gentle smiles from strangers are no longer enough to make our day? Are we so high-maintenance that passing moments merely pass without cause for inspiration or a quick jot in our notebooks? We thrive for things that we can grasp ourselves, independence, money, safety, but our subconscious knows better. Our subconscious knows to look for the people who make our souls smile, for the people who make us excited to wake up every morning, for people like us, who are just looking for people like them.

how wonderful, how sane, how beautifully difficult and therefore true

That is on my body. Permanently.
Pictures tomorrow for sure, but as of now I am more than exhausted.
